EPIDEMIC - The Biggest Disaster that stares at Mankind !

What started as a small news item in tabloids is today a reality that has hit Mankind. An Epidemic that has numerous versions of how it started is doing its round, creating many new found Medical Practitioners around us, whom we all knew as statisticians and business owners. The advice, directions, guidance are all too many, adding a spice called PANIC.

The Roads are near empty, what took a 60 min drive is today just 10 mins away, suddenly there are many new faces in our neighbourhood, but we are told they have been living there for nearly a decade. Many Old friends are speaking to us, with whom we would have never connected. The joy of seeing the sun set from the terrace creates a warm nostalgia of the bygone student life.

The uncertainty of business opportunities are beautifully eclipsed by faith and trust. This is the time we realize how fragile mankind is. Nature has been too tolerant for far too long. Mother Earth has been silently bearing the misgivings of the most civilized species that lives on her. She truly acted like a mother, patient, forbearing and loveable. Mankind treated her with little respect, not realizing how magnanimous she is, how loveable she is, how strong she is, and how intolerant she can turn out to be.

The luxurious outing of mankind needed a strict mother, a mother who teaches a lesson not easily forgotten. The piles of wastes, the tons of trash, the volume of rubbish all thrown at her with least repentance had to get a fitting reply. The reply did come, in the form of a pandemic that threatens the very core of our existence, that challenges every rule that mankind had devised, that tore to pieces all process and systems.

Today, the WORLD is staring at recession, bankruptcy, high inflation, spiralling medical costs and a gloom of uncertainty. How long is this going to stay? How deep will this hurt ? How many are we to lose ? Commercial loss seem too minuscule to the loss of human lives that we hear from across the planet.

The bright side, though is the resilience that humans are blessed with. There is so many beautiful things happening around us, so many warm people, the day looks bright and calm, the mornings are fresh and relaxed, the evenings are harmonious with the laughter and giggles of our families. But for the epidemic, this would have been given a miss, this would have passed and we would have turned old, this would have dissolved the fiber called bonding.

This is time to Reflect, Rejuvenate & Resolve to come back with a bang, to remain connected with families, to pursue other hobbies apart from work, to build a strong network of lovely friends.

This is an opportunity to realize our innate potential and rejuvenate ourselves.

This is the time to re-frame priorities

This is the best time to sit back & re calibrate.

This time will never come back. Nature has her own way teaching us lessons. When Tsunami stuck we stood up in the shortest time, When Earthquake stuck we got back on feet quickly, When Floods hit we swam to safety in no time. But we never changed our ways of polluting, scattering and dumping. As any mother would do, our mother nature has taught us a tough lesson this time. A lesson that has deep meaning and it is now up to us to change & prosper or continue the old ways and brace for another epidemic which could be far more dangerous painful and traumatic.

An Epidemic is nothing but an answer to bundle of disasters caused by us in Epic proportions!
